Services Provided

Decode Reading provides educational tutoring, structured literacy support, and parent coaching services. These services are instructional in nature and are not medical, psychological, or diagnostic services. I do not diagnose learning disabilities, dyslexia, or medical conditions, and services should not be considered a substitute for formal evaluation by qualified professionals.

Session Rates

Sessions are offered at $60 per session.

Most sessions last between 35 and 50 minutes, depending on the student. Your child’s session length may change over time as attention, stamina, and learning needs develop.

Session frequency is determined collaboratively based on student needs, goals, and availability.

A limited number of reduced-rate sessions may be available each term for families experiencing financial hardship. Availability is limited and offered at my discretion.

Payment & Prepayment

All sessions require prepayment. For recurring sessions, weekly prepayment is preferred, while single sessions should be paid before the scheduled time. Payment may be made via Zelle or PayPal.

Prepayment ensures your child’s session is reserved and allows me to maintain consistent scheduling for all families. Reduced-rate sessions follow the same prepayment policy.

Scheduling & Communication

Sessions are scheduled by appointment. Communication typically takes place via email or phone. I aim to respond to messages within 1–2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Because session times are reserved specifically for your child or family:

• Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session.

• Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged at the full session rate, except in cases of illness or emergency.

• This policy applies to all sessions, including reduced-rate sessions.

Consistent attendance supports progress and allows me to maintain availability for families.

Reduced-Rate Sessions

Reduced-rate sessions are offered for a limited duration (typically 6–8 weeks) and may be reassessed periodically. Reduced-rate sessions follow the same attendance, scheduling, and prepayment expectations as standard-rate sessions.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is encouraged and often essential to student progress. For younger students, parents may be asked to participate in brief check-ins or follow-up conversations to support learning at home.

Online Sessions

Online tutoring sessions require a stable internet connection and a quiet learning space. Parents are responsible for ensuring their child is prepared and available at the scheduled session time.

Confidentiality & Privacy

All personal information shared by families is kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing educational services and communication. Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

Results & Progress

Every child learns at a different pace. While instruction is based on research-supported practices, progress varies depending on the student, consistency of attendance, home support, and individual learning needs. Specific outcomes or timelines cannot be guaranteed.
